In Tracy California, teachers have found a great new way to prepare their students for advanced placement exams.

In a true example of how trivia games can be educational, high school students are being prepped for their advanced placement exams with trivia games about calculus.

The idea is to use popular trivia game show formats like jeopardy to get the students excited about getting prepared for their exams, and making it fun as well as educational. The competitive nature of trivia games also helps sparks the interest of the high schoolers who enjoy the battle of wits with their peers.

The school's Calculus teacher – Perry Farrens says told the local press that he has been preparing his students for the advanced placement test with trivia games like jeopardy during the whole school year.

"We make sure that we covered everything on AP so they feel like their prepared and they want to take it," Farrens said. "I'm always striving for 100 percent of the students to pass."

Education is at the core of all trivia games, but fun and competition are what drives people to gain the additional educational value from playing the games.
